1st Source Bank Awards Ivy Tech Michigan City Pejic Campus $15,000 for “Meet the Need” Project

rot31st Source Bank has awarded Ivy Tech’s Michigan City Pejic campus a $15,000 grant to help support the “Meet the Need” pilot project. These dollars will be used to help a total of 40 students remain enrolled in classes throughout 2019. Approximately 75% of the students attending the Michigan City campus receive financial assistance of some kind, according to Ivy Tech, with many still not able to reach the full cost of tuition, which is the lowest in Indiana.

Local Buffalo Wild Wings throughout Lake and Porter Counties will host a Community Day on April 17 to raise funds via sale donating 10 percent of total sales that day, plus any additional guest donations, to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana as part of the Buffalo Wild Wings Team Up for Kids initiative. This initiative helps bring sports into the lives of kids and teens who need it most, helping them be part of a team and build life skills such as self-esteem, resilience, and collaboration.
